Excursions in Ogliastra

For your excursions in Ogliastra you can visit the nearby ghost towns (Osini and Gairo Vecchio) and take a step back in time to the well-preserved houses that were abandoned during the 1952 flood. From the other Gairo (Tacquisara) there’s the picturesque railway station from which the Trenino Verde (an old steam train) runs in the summer months, covering a panoramic route in the interior of Sardinia.
